Hey! I’m Skye – the creative half behind Innovative Ink, which I run with my husband, Murray. I grew up in the tiny country town of Manilla in rural NSW, spent a few years on the Gold Coast, and eventually made the move to the Sunshine Coast!
I’ve been tattooing since 2019, and I can’t imagine doing anything else. My dad is a former tattoo artist, and watching him work while growing up was a huge inspiration for me. Art and creating have always been a big part of who I am, so tattooing felt like the natural next step.
I specialise in fine line, dot work, and illustrative designs, often inspired by fantasy, nature, florals, and ornamentals! Sea creatures and florals are my absolute favourites to tattoo — anything nature-based, really!
When I’m not tattooing, I’m usually curled up with a fantasy or romance novel, marathoning a series or anime, or hiding from social plans. I do love the outdoors though — especially the ocean, camping, exploring local markets, and tracking down cute cafes and snack spots. Basically, give me a good book, a cozy corner, and a coffee, and I’m living the dream!
Hey I’m Georgia! I became an artist because I was obsessed with dragons when I was a kid, I was gifted a dragonology book and learnt to draw from that. I’m also super interested in drawing/tattooing all types of carnivorous creatures, like dinosaurs, reptiles, fantasy, paranormal/supernatural.
I’ve realised I have a passion for people and creating friendships with clients, getting to know who people are and helping create their dreams and achieve reality.
I have all types of hobbies, watching a good movie/series or reading a good book, playing PlayStation, I love driving and riding my motorbike, travelling and spending time with my pets! I have 3 boy cats and one girl snake.
I grew up in Dubai UAE, then in Queensland Toowoomba/Bundaberg regions until my mid 20’s, moved to Townsville for a few years then to the sunny coast.
I’ve travelled to the UAE, Oman, Japan & Indonesia.
As far as passions and goals I just want to explore an adventurous adrenaline filled life and share cool experiences with awesome people and have some stories to tell.
Favourite styles: black & grey realism/Neotrad.
I’m Jake — Innovative Ink’s first male tattoo artist, and yeah, I’m proud of that.
I’ve been drawing longer than I can remember. No matter the medium, I just love creating. From sketches and illustrations to storytelling and animation, I’ve always believed there are limited limitations to creativity. Art’s the one thing I’m naturally good at.
To me, tattooing is no different from any other creative form — except it’s got one major upgrade: you get to help people express who they are on the canvas of their skin. Making the invisible… visible. (Insert teary eyes.)
I get most hyped when I can play with balance — elegance and grit, masculine and feminine, beauty and the ghastly. I like to think that kind of duality shows in my work. Give me something cool, like plants growing out of a skull to represent life and death. If my logo didn’t give it away already, I freakin’ love skeletons and skulls. Let’s do more of that.
What makes me stand out? My love for stipple shading — using dots to build texture and detail in a way traditional techniques don’t. It adds a little grunge, a little divinity, and a whole lotta humanity.
Check out my portfolio — if my work speaks to you, hit me up and let’s make some art.
Hey! I’m Murray — or Muz! I’m the welcoming face behind the reception desk and the other half of Innovative Ink. I keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes — from booking your appointments and consultations to making sure every client feels right at home the moment they walk through the door.
I’ve always loved tattoos — not just the art itself, but the whole experience. Whether it’s chatting about aftercare tips, discussing your designs, or just keeping the vibes upbeat while you wait, honestly, I’m a bit of a social butterfly!
When I’m not at the studio, I’m gaming or catching up on the latest anime! I also love the outdoors, spending time at the beach and camping! I’ve been lucky enough to do some extensive travelling, visiting amazing places like Japan, Europe, Canada, Cambodia, and the Pacific Islands, and had the opportunity to work as a snowboard instructor in Banff for six months!
